HPPSC Syllabus: Exams, Marks, Syllabus PDF Download

Before you start studying for the post, it is best to know about the HPPSC syllabus to get a good idea about what type of questions are going to be asked in the exam as we know that recently Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission examination or PPSC exam has been announced, so it is time for you to get started with your study. The Stages of HPPSC Selection:

The HPPSC selection process consists of 3 stages of examinations which are the Commission test for the prescribed syllabus. The three rounds are a preliminary examination, Mains examination, and an interview round. HPAS Syllabus Prelims:

When we talk about the preliminary examination of HPPSC, there will be two papers for the preliminary exam, which is known as HPAS. The first paper is on general studies, and the other is about general aptitude. Both papers will contain 200 marks questions with 100 questions of multiple choice each. The duration of the exam is 2 hours, of the HPPSC HPAS syllabus is based on the UPSC pattern that focuses on questions related to Himachal Pradesh, such as:

Paper 1st Politics, History, Socio-Economic Development, Geography, art & culture, and relayed topic of Himachal Pradesh. HPPSC Mains Syllabus:

After clearing the preliminary exams, a candidate can appear for the mains exam of HPPSC. The examination consists of compulsory subjects as well as optional subjects. The HPPSC Main syllabus consists of different topics from 8 papers, out of which Sikh subjects are compulsory while the other two are optional as per the candidates' preference. The pattern of the examination is similar to that of the UPSC syllabus. It also includes general aptitude as well as current affairs. The subjects include:

Interview:

After the candidate has cleared the means and preliminary exams, an interview round is conducted wherein the candidate gets interviewed by the commission and will be asked questions.
